Cows!

My metamorphosis from suburban girl to full-on country girl just took another adorable step forward! I was out in Elora—only about 15 minutes from our new home—doing some flower work for a friend (more on that in a future post!) when she offered to take me on a little tour of the farm to meet the animals. Of course, I said yes. I LOVE cows. I’m that person who shouts “Cows!” every time we pass a herd on a country road—and lately, we’ve been passing a lot more of them!

I don’t know the first thing about working with cows, but to me, they’re the gentlest souls. Those big brown eyes, fluttery lashes, and slow, calm movements just melt me. And the calves—somewhere between a cow and a giant puppy—are pure sweetness. Total innocence on four legs.

It was such a lovely morning in the country, and the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Happy Friday!
