An End-of-Summer Evening in the Flower Fields

There’s just something magical about a late summer evening—the light is golden, everything has that slow, sweet energy before the rush of back-to-routine September. I met up with Alicia, her husband, and their cute-as-ever boys at Lot 9 Flower Farm, and it couldn’t have been a better way to wrap up summer sessions.

Their two sweet boys created perfectly photogenic moments racing across the wide open lawn, full of energy and laughter. In between the play, there were those little in-between moments—hugs, tosses with Mom and Dad, hand-holding, and the kind of smiles that come so naturally with a few candid shots.
I love sessions like this. They’re not just about pretty photos (though the flower fields at Lot 9 certainly deliver on that!)—they’re about capturing all of the moments between the posed photos. The joy, the chaos, and the laughter.
