Beach Dreams & Summer Throwbacks

With the official start of summer this past weekend—and this wild Southern Ontario heat wave—I’ve got the beach on my mind! Admittedly, this shoot is a throwback from a few years ago, but I’ve always loved these warm early summer beach images and never quite gave them the attention they deserve.

It was a warm June evening in Grand Bend, Ontario.

The water was still chilly, but the waves were crashing and the beach was quiet—just the way I like it. Perfect for wading in flowy skirts and rolled-up pantlegs, with nowhere to be but in the moment.

Now, with summer stretching out ahead of us, I can’t wait to return to the waves.
