Daisies are the Friendliest Flower

The field behind our house is dotted with sweet little clumps of daisies — a sure sign that summer has officially arrived. I’m always happy to head out with clippers in one hand and my camera in the other, soaking in the simple joy of gathering them.

There’s something about filling up my collection of glass bottles with fresh-picked daisies that never gets old.

As Kathleen Kelly said in You've Got Mail, “I think daisies are the friendliest flower,” and honestly, I couldn’t agree more.
