New Discoveries in Our New Hometown

Since our recent move to Fergus, we’ve been constantly stumbling upon charming little spots to explore—and for me, to photograph. It feels like we find a new favourite place every week, and I have no doubt my camera will be busy all summer long.

One recent discovery was Terry Fox Park, tucked not far from downtown. It’s a sweet series of gardens, and when we visited, the peonies were in full bloom—ruffled, delicate, and in shades I’d never seen before. Some were lush and full, others simple ‘single’ blooms with just one graceful ring of petals. Just beautiful.

And I have to say, I love the farewell sign as you leave town: Haste Ye Back. It feels like the perfect gentle nudge to return soon.
